Malone’s Landscape is looking for a Landscape Designer to support our Senior Landscape Sales Team. This is an opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in precise, well-crafted design work. You’ll play a key role in turning client visions into stunning, buildable landscapes by blending creativity with technical expertise.
About the Job
As part of our Design/Build team, you’ll help create designs that are both beautiful and practical. You’ll develop plans, details, and specifications that ensure every project meets our high standards for quality and constructibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Senior Landscape Sales Team to translate client goals into functional, detailed designs.
- Develop design plans, planting layouts, grading, and construction details using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, and other software.
- Conduct site analyses, measurements, and due diligence to support design development.
- Prepare presentation packages and documentation for clients and permitting.
- Coordinate with estimating, carpentry, masonry, and irrigation teams to ensure project accuracy and feasibility.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Pacific Northwest plants, materials, and construction techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of professional experience in landscape design or architecture.
- Strong understanding of construction detailing, grading, and site planning.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong plant knowledge and design sensibility.
- Excellent organization, communication, and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
