A Backyard Sanctuary: Designed for Living, Built for Relaxation

Issaquah, WA   |  2024/2025  |  $400k – $500k

Tucked just beyond the back door, this landscape design was created as a seamless extension of the home—one that feels peaceful, personal, and entirely lived in. From the first step onto the paver patio, there’s a quiet invitation to slow down. A central fire pit draws family and friends together in the evenings, while soft lighting and curated plantings enhance the calm, grounded feel of the outdoor living space.

Along the edge of the yard, an existing concrete retaining wall was thoughtfully upgraded. With hand-laid stonework, uplighting, and layered greenery, the once-standard structure now acts as a stylish division between levels—providing both beauty and function in this backyard landscaping project.

A custom spiral staircase descends gracefully from the upper patio to a tucked-away gazebo and hot tub area, giving the yard vertical interest and a sense of discovery. Just beyond that, through a gate, lies a private garden retreat: a hidden gem centered around a natural rock waterfall. Paver walkways wind through colorful flower beds and raised wooden planters, creating a space designed for quiet moments, fresh herbs, and the everyday enjoyment of nature.

See the transformation unfold from a plain, underutilized space to a layered, lifestyle-driven landscape featuring stonework, lighting, and garden features tailored to the homeowner’s vision.
