Landscape Design and Build Process

Every project we design and build is unique, but the process we follow ensures our success from the first meeting to the completed project.

Take a look at each step of our process:

Step 1: Initial Design Consultation

We begin by scheduling an on-site meeting with one of our landscape architects or designers. This initial consultation is free of charge and serves as the perfect opportunity to discuss:

  • Your landscape planning needs

  • Any problem solving areas

  • Walk your property with you to envision initial site plans

  • Talk through your priorities, budget, and time frame

Step 2: Landscape Design & Agreement

The next step in the process is developing a comprehensive landscape design. You will receive a Design Agreement outlining the scope of work and associated fees. When you're ready to proceed, simply sign the agreement and make the deposit, and we'll handle the rest.

If you already have a professional design, you can skip this step and we’ll provide a detailed cost proposal based on your existing design.

Step 3: Detailed Site Measurement & Base Map Creation

Our design team will measure your site and create a base map using AutoCAD design software. This map will depict the existing grades, lot lines, and elements discussed during your initial meeting.

Note: If any permits, additional surveys, or engineering work are needed, there may be additional charges.

Step 4: Plan and Proposal

A conceptual site plan will be developed based on your individual needs, lifestyle, and the scope of work outlined in the design agreement. This plan will begin shaping the landscape design and help you visualize the space.

During this step is an opportunity to provide feedback, discuss any modifications, and finalize details such as material options, plant choices, and other design elements.

Step 5: Finalize Plan & Cost Estimate

Once the plan is refined and material choices are finalized, we will provide a detailed cost estimate for the construction of your project.

For large landscape projects, it’s a possibility the work would be completed in phases, and our design team will work with you to determine the best construction approach.

Once the proposal/contract is signed and the initial deposit is paid your project will be secured on our schedule.

Step 6: Construction & Project Management

About two weeks before your project is set to start one of our project managers will reach out to schedule a walk through with you on-site. Once construction starts, the project manager will be your main point of contact and will work directly with the crews, any contractors ensuring that the project adheres to the design plans, and manage any unexpected issues that may arise during construction.

Step 7: Completion & Follow-Up

Once the project is completed, your project manager will conduct a final walk through with you to make certain everything meets your expectations.
